TO DETERMINE WHY TNB COLLEGE CASH AND CARRY IS HAVING PROBLEM IN GETTING CUSTOMER

TERMS OF REFERENCE
On the 20 January 2008, Muhd Azmeer bin Ibrahim, Muhammad Maisarah bin Abd Malek, Lam Sheve Chin and Tan Pit Voon were directed by their Business Report Writing instructor, Puan Rashidah bt Haji Ramli to write a report determine why TNB College Cash and Carry is having problem in getting customer and submit the report together with recommendation by 31 March 2008.

1.0 INTRODUCTION (PROBLEM STATEMENT)
TNB College Cash and Carry is a convenience shop that has been operating since 1998 to give students a chance and choice for shopping. It is located at TNB College in University Utara Malaysia. However, since it started the company is having less customer. They think that TNB College Cash and Carry should have some improvements to increase the sales.

2.0 PURPOSE STATEMENT
The purpose of this study is to determine why TNB College Cash and Carry is having problem in getting customers.

3.0 SCOPE OF TNB COLLEGE CASH AND CARRY
This study will determine the factors why TNB College Cash and Carry having less customers and the problem face by the company. Basically, this study will evaluate 3 major scopes such as goods, location and price. Variables such as reliability, availability, competition, accessibility and competitiveness will be analyzed.

4.0 SOURCES AND METHODS OF DATA COLLECTION
For the primary sources, we will distribute questionnaires and conduct an interview. Samples of questionnaires will be distributed to 50 respondents. We will give 15 multiple choice questions and one open question to allow the respondents to answer in any way they wish on how to improve the TNB College Cash and Carry. Puan Monaliza bt Ibrahim, the owner of TNB College Cash and Carry will be asked about problem faced by her. A face to face interview will be conducted. On the other hand, we will also utilize secondary sources to find out more information to support our report. We retrieve the information from internet through the website http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Convenience_store.
